Often, before you get a hold of the stung area, you’re left with reddish and swollen skin with no bug in sight. The next minute, you’re there trying to make sense of the situation despite being agitated.

Mosquito Bites
Of all possible insects, mosquito bites are common. At some point or the other, we’ve experienced this and, perhaps, cannot tell. Usually, they’re puffy, reddish, and extremely itchy. They can also be hard, reddish-brown bumps with small blisters and dark spots.
These signs often precede adverse health reactions like nausea, fever, chills, headache, dengue, malaria, etc. So, immediately you notice mosquitoes have bitten you, contact your doctor.
Flea Bites
Battling flea infestation in your home is a serious problem needing prompt attention. Contact a nearby pest control company if this is the case with you. Their bites are always seen as tiny dark spots, rounded up by reddish skin in groups of three or four. Common sites are the ankle, knee, and feet.
Bee and Wasp Stings
When a bee stings you, you most certainly can tell because of the accompanying pain. However, not all bees pose the same level of danger. While specific species like the bumblebees sting severally in a row, others only do it once. When this happens, you can see a small, light spot or a larger, red welt. The center of the sting can also be whitish.
Wasp stings are identical to bees’. They only differ because they do it multiple times. People react differently to these stings. For some, allergic reactions may follow, resulting in emergency treatment.
Tick Bites
If you like spending time outside, ticks are other pests to watch. Only a few insects can be fixated on a surface for so long, and they are one of the lists. To identify a tick bite, look for an insect attached to your skin. Most times, their bites are painless but could prompt some symptoms and diseases. An example of the latter is Lyme disease.
Spider Bites
Between the venomous and non-poisonous spider species, it’s pretty apparent which is more dangerous. Although when either bite, they can be so painful with relative adverse effects. The area can be swollen, stiffened, and reddened. Poisonous types like black widow spiders cause seizures, cramps, and even tremors.
Bed Bug Bites
To get rid of bed bugs from your space, you need more intensive effort than other pests. That’s the extent of severity of their infestation. But when they bite, you feel nothing. Nonetheless, obvious signs in the area swell, an itchy rash with dark-red centers.
Having bugs around you is not palatable. Hence, fighting them off using proven precautionary measures is your best bet to enjoy your environment.
