Home is where we rest, play, and spend time with our loved ones. Naturally, we would want to keep this place safe. However, traditional home security systems are designed around intruders. They create obstacles in our day-to-day lives, and usage is often complex. Luckily, Nest Secure Alarm System can do more than its traditional counterparts, with less trouble on your part.
Nest Secure Alarm System primarily consists four components: Nest Guard, Nest Tag, Nest Detect, and Nest app for your phone. Firstly, Nest Guard is the brains of the system. It comes with an alarm, a keypad, and a motion sensor. With No Rush arming and disarming, you can personalize how much time you need. Consequently, you will not have to race against time before the house shuts down. You can arm or disarm Nest Guard by inputting a passcode on the keypad. In addition, you can do so with the Nest Tag. It is a small disc-shaped tag that you can attach to your key ring. Simply tap the Tag on Nest Guard to tag in or out, and arm or disarm the system in a flash.
Meanwhile, Nest Detect are the eyes of the system around the house. Install them on window frames, doors, and rooms, and they will sense motion and open/close. Additionally, Nest Detect boasts the Quiet Open feature. Simply press the button on the detector, the doors and windows will stay armed even as you open them, without waking up the whole house.
Most noteworthy of all is the Nest mobile app. It lets you further customise your security plan, and arm your alarm system even when you’re out of the house. With the app, you can set a schedule to let someone in at certain times. If you lost your Tag, don’t worry; you can disable the lost Tag in the app too. Furthermore, if you forgot to set the alarm, you can set up an alert to remind you, and arm the system from your phone. Most importantly, you can get security alerts on your phone, verify what is happening, and call the police if there is an intruder.
With its sleek and modern design, Nest Secure can keep your home safe without looking out of place. Its simplicity also means you will actually want to use it, instead of disarming it permanently for convenience’s sake. However, Nest Secure does not provide third-party monitored emergency notifications, response or police dispatch. This may be a catch for those who needs an alarm system that notifies the police immediately.
Nest Secure Alarm System is now available for pre-order on their online store, and will ship in November.
