Chopsticks. The bane of my existence every time I eat dinner with my family. Yes, your Hong Kong living, all round genetically as-Chinese-as-you-can-get girl can’t hold chopsticks the way they’re ‘supposed’ to be held for the life of her. But all matters of my non-existence chopsticks holding game aside, I do have a few issues with them. The main one being the fact that the tips always touch the table when you put them down. My family isn’t fancy enough to bust out the chopstick holders for everyday dinners, so suffer away I shall. Dang Tran shares my pain, so he invented the patent-pending Gravity Chopsticks that keeps the tips way off the table.

How the Gravity Chopsticks Work

The key element to sanitary chopsticks lies in its unique geometric design and weight balance. Utilizing a ‘thick bottom, thin top’ structure, most of the weight is located to the bottom end. This creates a lifting effect for the lighter tips, keeping them off of the table top without additional help. Even if you have a few bits of rice stuck to it (I’m judging you if you do), they’ll stay off the table. With this, you can save on all the chopstick rests!

Other Features

Besides this major selling point, Gravity Chopsticks has a few other tricks up its sleeve. Instead of a cylindrical design, it uses a square-ish one to prevent rolling. The material used is food contact safe (obvs) and dishwasher safe, so you can chuck it in with the rest of your dishes without worry. For those who are like me and sometimes have trouble with keeping the food held between your chopsticks, these ones are texturized for better grip!
