A while back, there were these DIY videos teaching people how to create their own hologram projector with a few pieces of plastic and a smartphone. I’m sure many of us have seen them, but never quite acted upon it no matter how cool it looked. Because let’s face it, not all of us are DIY geniuses. I don’t even remember how many projects I’ve messed up and thrown out over the years. America-based Imagination Farm has decided to take it upon themselves to upgrade this DIY into the Holho hologram projector for you to show off to your friends and family.
How This Hologram Projector Works.
Made with 4 angled mirrors on an inverted base, the Holho Full Pyramid hologram projector sits on your smartphone or smart device’s screen. There are currently already tons of videos online made specifically for this kind of projector, but you can always use their accompanying app to create your own. You can choose between a still image or a moving one (both are in 3D). Either way, the final hologram projection is super cool. From every angle you look, your image will be suspended in space. Whether it is a swimming jellyfish or a fireworks show, everything looks awesome.
Other Holho Products
To tailor to the needs of all the potential customers out there, Imagination Farm has also created 3 other versions of the Holho Full Pyramid hologram projectors. For those with 10 inch tablets, there’s the Holho Naked. This one uses a fold-up mirror setup to create that 3D effect, and you can also use it as a tablet case when closed. The Holho Zed is an upgrade from this. By placing the tablet on top of a perspex stand to shine the image onto an angled screen, you get a lovely hologram effect. You can even pair it with the picture stand that projects images with white LED lights to get that 3D picture frame around your hologram. For commercial product display use, you can get the Holho Three-Face Pyramid that comes with its own app that generates the 3 needed faces.
For those who are interested in getting this product, head over to their Kickstarter. At USD18, you can get your very own Holho Full Pyramid hologram projector. Unfortunately, they have stopped shipping orders for December because after December 5th, all shipments will no arrive in time for Christmas. So this coming batch will be coming to you in January 2018.
