Continuing our journey down the rabbit hole of awesome technological designs from CES 2018, we’re jumping into photography in this article. It’s 2018. This year, we’re moving on from shooting one direction at a time to shooting everything at once. Yes, ladies and gents, we’re talking about 360 cameras today. Now most of these cameras on the market requires you to hold it while taking the footage. LINKFLOW (aka Samsung) is releasing the FITT360 camera that promises the true freedom of hands-free 360 photography. By wearing your camera around your neck, you can also ensure there’s no more shaky hand syndrome ruining your photos and videos.
How the FITT360 Camera Works
The FITT360 camera works through 3 separate cameras located in different positions on a neckband. With the 3 180-degree cameras shooting from your front, side, and back, just press a button and you’re good to go. The computer in piece together your footage for you, so everything comes out in one cohesive piece. A great thing about it is that it has wifi, so you can use it for live streaming in 360 to bring something new to your friends and family.
You can export all content as a large 360 image, a single HD image, or a 4K video. If you plan on bringing this out in the rain, you don’t even need a cover for it. The FITT360 camera is water-resistant. Just don’t dunk it underwater. Besides taking photos, you can also use it as a GPS tracker to see which route you’ve gone while hiking. But my absolute favorite part of this device is that it doubles as a wireless Bluetooth headset. The downside to this is that a single charge only lasts for 90 minutes, so you can only use this for short trips.
For those who are interested, the FITT360 camera is live on Kickstarter. At USD370, you can get your very own top quality hands-free
360 camera, shipping October this year.
